life of a wife with a deployed husband
Early mornings. Numerours errands. Remembering to check the oil in the car. Paying the bills. Sleepless nights. Always waiting for that phone call, just to hear his voice and know he is okay. Telling the kids they will see their daddy soon. Your child see a man in uniform and they think its their dad. Dinners with just you and the kids. No back massages at night. No cuddles on the couch while watching a movie. No kisses goodbye in the morning and hello in the evenings. Never knowing the exact date of his return home. Inturrepted phone calls. Constant trips to the post office. Missed holidays as a family. Long webcam chats as the highlight of your week. The smell of his cologne helping you hold back the tears. Sleeping in his Long shirts. Watching the news just to make sure he's not on it! Always wondering what he's doing at that very moment. -
